Hey, I'm important!

Apparently, this Lemon person is even more confused that you thought. He has me confused with someone important!

Sam's campaign cash is regrettable. The truth is, there's no money on the list from important Democrats in the districts (case in point, Mr. Garstang over at cobalt6 and Mr. Deeds going to Richmond-but can't become attorney general...).
First, you should have seen the exchange between "Mr. Deeds" and Sam at the 4th of July event in Staunton. Creigh always talks about a candidate needing to have "fire in the belly" and he knows Sam's got it. Second, I'm just a blogger, hardly the sort of name you're going to find on a big money donation list. If you look harder, though, I'm there--I'm one of the many hundreds of donors who've contributed less than $200. And Third, I can't believe someone who claims to be an insider is linking to that old donor list! Sour, indeed. More like past his expiration date.

First, get him elected, then we'll worry about the feet-to-the-fire stuff.
Write this on your bathroom mirror so you see it every morning:
Two or three SCOTUS appointments in the next four years.
Two or three SCOTUS appointments in the next four years.
Two or three SCOTUS appointments in the next four years.
Two or three SCOTUS appointments in the next four years.
Two or three SCOTUS appointments in the next four years.
Think about it.

My suggestion

Don't let him. I mean, honestly, he's so far better than McCain that I wouldn't care what he says, but I know what you mean. We want him to stick to his guns, so speak. It's a mistake we've made with Congress, maybe. So I think we need to let him know that we're the people who got him this far and this is what we expect. And once he's in office, he needs to deliver. I fully understand what you mean about being concerned about some "drift" on issues, but we need this guy. Don't let him drift. Let's get him elected.

Honestly,

I'm not as enthusiastic about him as I was. He's changed his position on FISA and I get the feeling he's going to redefine his position on Iraq.
He's deliberately moving to the center to get the swing voters and it's a bad move. The independent & swing voters
are going to think he's a mushy flipflopper and will end up voting for McCain. He's also giving McCain's campaign ammunition to attack him with.
I wanted Change I Could Beleive in. I don't want someone who's going to make charismatic, strong statements to get my vote and then retreat back to the same old politics we are sick of once elected.
I saw the news briefing where he stumbled around and said that he was not changing his position on Iraq, but he was choosing his words so carefully and was not directly answering questions from reporters and I got the feeling that he didn't want to directly and specifically commit to his once strong position on Iraq. He also seemed irritated by the reporters continued questions on his 16 month timeline for getting out of Iraq. Had he directly answered their questions, with the same boldness he had during the primaries, they would not have continued questioning him.
I'm still going to vote for him, but I am losing my enthusiasm and hope that he'll bring about real change.

(My opinion)I can not think of a better way for any American to spend their independance day than to protest the tyrany that this country has been subjected to over the last 8 years under the current Bush administration.I hope that my children, grandchildren and generations of Americans will not ever witness the american government in such turmoil again.I thank people like Rep. Dennis Kucinich David Swanson from downstreet.org,Cindy Sheenan who lead the true patriots of this country. This people are selfless to see that justice is carried out.I respect each one of these people and all others who stand up and rebel, not just talk. That is integrity and something I have very little of from most of the spineless, gutless congress women and men that are currently in office.I will do every thing in my power to have the spineless congress people removed from
office whether they be Democrat or republican.
Impeach and jail Bush and Cheney before it is to late.A war with Iran seems to close for comfort.
"Dissent is vital to our democracy"(author unknown to me).

what I was seeing. Bush has absolutely no shame and no compunction about lying to the remnants of his gullible public. There can't be that many people fooled by this. Look at the military websites and you'll see what I'm talking about, but it's annoying nevertheless.

Why?

Because you aren't being helpful. When you attack or repeat Sam's supposed comments about Israel, a response is called for. It's hardly the focus of Cobalt6.
And you say you've got useful information from someone at the center of it all and want us be more progressive, etc. But, as I say, you aren't being helpful. Are there policy suggestions you think Sam should look at? Is there dirt on Goodlatte you could focus on? You say you want you home to be more progressive, but the most progressive candidate in the race (whether or not you think he's the right Democratic choice) is Sam Rasoul. So either help get him elected, or don't whine that we can't see what a great well-informed guy you are.
